Legacy Fundraising Advisory Volunteer
Free UK Genealogy wants to set up a legacy fundraising scheme. Recognising that we have no in-house experience of this sensitive area, we would like support of a volunteer in doing this.
Tasks we have on hand for this role and need help with include (but are not limited to)
- Providing the Executive Director with guidance in drafting a legacy fundraising policy
- Supporting the Executive Director in writing a legacy fundraising action plan
- Commenting on draft legacy fundraising materials (e.g. web page, newsletter snippet)
- Other support on actions in the legacy fundraising action plan
This role requires someone with a thorough understanding of Legacy Fundraising, who can advise our organisation in the development of a Legacy Fundraising action plan and associated campaign.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to use and develop their fundraising skills, or keep their skills sharp and stay current with online fundraising trends. There may also be the intellectual challenge of developing a successful legacy fundraising campaign for a different type of charity than you may be used to.
An interest in family history or a familiarity with one of our project websites FreeREG, FreeBMD or FreeCEN would be an advantage. Please note that Free UK Genealogy is a virtual organisation with no premises, so the work will be home based
